 Jam on the James during Buchanan's 5th Annual Reggae by the River. Enjoy an evening of live music featuring DJ rubystar, The Ambassador and Lazy Man Dub Band on Saturday, July 23. Reggae By the River takes places in the Buchanan Town Park located at 485 Lowe Street.
Gates Open to the public at 4:30 p.m. with performances by The Ambassador from 5pm until 7:30pm and Lazy Man Dub Band from 8:00pm until 10:00pm. Admission is $10 at the gate 

 As part of the foundation of reggae music, Ansel “Meditation” Cridland has over forty years producing, writing, arranging, and performing for fans all over the world. As leader of the legendary trio (The Meditations) Ansel and his fellow band members performed at the historical ONE LOVE PEACE CONCERT, held April, 22nd 1978, at the request of Bob Marley. Legends like Jimmy Cliff, Sly and Robbie, Philip Smart, Willie Lindo and Gregory Isaac are a few of the people that Ansel has worked with. These contributions have sculpted the sound of Roots Rock Reggae over the years. Making The Meditations a fundamental and essential part of reggae music. 

   The Roanoke Reggae Festival embraces cultural diversity by uniting communities through love, humility, food, music, and fun. This is an event for all members of Roanoke, Virginia and surrounding communities to come enjoy the sun, listen to relaxing and vibrant reggae sounds from local and regional bands at Wasena Park. 

 It is official - Reggae In The Park will be moving inside for a Reggae Takeover at Dogtown // Sun Music Hall // 302 S Locust St - Floyd, VA 

Saturday October 1st -doors open at 4pm for this FREE all ages event - donations are accepted and appreciated

We are going to have a wonderful time staying cozy by the woodfired pizza oven, drinking craft libations and getting down to quality reggae music for 7 HOURS as we weather the storm together family.

Roots Reggae during NC A&T Homecoming is finally here. HOMECOMING ROOTS REGGAE JAM will be an experience you won’t forget. High energy, healing vibes, and just great music for all. We are ALL about PEACE so prepare yourself for a fun, colorful, exciting, and joyful night. Come out and enjoy the peace movement during this 2022 GHOE. Get there early!! The Crown at the Theatre box office is opened from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Selecta Tyrone Red Dubby Davis will open the doors at 7:00 PM. The first note will hit at 8:00 PM by Pure Fiyah Reggae Band, with an additional treat!! Don’t be late After an intermission you will then be hearing our honorary guests Mighty Joshua with Nickey McMullen and Zion#5. PHAT POTS a Taste of the South will be holding down the food menu.
